Dark wild black and blue berries on the nose, this full bodied well balanced Bordeaux is rich and ripe. Light sweet vanilla and delicate dried tobacco on the finish.
Shows coffee, blackberry and hints of dark chocolate. Medium-bodied, with fine, silky tannins and a pretty core of fruit on the finish. Balanced. A beautiful wine.
Well-structured blended red wine, this pleasant Bordeaux is perfumed on the nose, with good up front fruit and just enough spice to make it intriguing. Medium body and very smooth, it finishes with an herbal flourish that lingers.
Lovely plummy Merlot flavours with a splash of Cabernet Franc strawberries.
Chambord Liqueur has a luscious raspberry jam flavor that pairs well with many desserts and is a fabulous complement to many cocktail recipes.
Pale gold colour. Very delicate floral fragrances mixed with fern and underlined by subtle minerality. Well-structured and well-balanced. Very pure aromas. Lovely refreshing finish.
A very intense color with hints of purple. The nose is blackberries and cherries in brandy. In the mouth we have finesse and elegance rather than exuberance. The attack is straightforward, ample and fresh, the middle of the mouth is well-rounded and enveloped by elegant tannins which do not overpower. At the finish, the tannins still remain tight, barely starting to fade away.
XVIII Bordeaux is a contemporary wine, one with a new take on quality.
By taking three centuries of tradition and giving it a modern twist, XVIII Bordeaux is a wine that is at Bordeaux’s cutting edge.
Intense garnet-red color with bright ruby tints. Ripe red fruits, plums and blackberries dominate the aromas and flavors. In the elegant and delicate taste we discover red fruit aromas with a spicy nuance that is typically created by the Syrah. The moderate alcohol creates a smooth, well-structured wine.
The color shows the black body, with hints of crimson. Bright and deep, it offers a full body. The nose is dominated by black pepper aromas followed by over-ripe blackcurrants and blueberries. It is full-bodied and smooth with concentrated red fruit aromas that explode on your palate. This wine has a long ageing potential but is also perfect for drinking now.
TOUR DE L'ABBAYE COTE DU RHONE '09
CHATEAU SIANT SIMEON MEDOC '07
Fruity flavors with this alliance of feminine elegance and spicy structure.
Ruby color with purple hues. Smells of berries, soft fruits. Medium bodied
La Croix Chaigneau has a beautiful dark color with fine vermilion highlights and rich legs when the wine is swirled in the glass. The bouquet is reminiscent of redcurrant and raspberry jelly, revealing aromas of forest floor, humus, and a more volatile, but very attractive roast coffee component. The wine starts out on the palate with soft, elegant tannin, and no excess of any kind. The flavor profile is rich, but above all easy-to-drink.
It's almost unheard of to find this kind of ripeness and stuffing in Bordeuax that's this inexpensive. Thank the vintage. Critics nearly ran out of adjectives in singing its praises with many calling it one of the best of the modern age. Brooding black fruits, creosote and subtle oak notes accent a mouthfeel that's both clean and classically Bordeaux in its presentation.
