Wine Tasting NotesDeLoach Vineyards Estate Bottled Zinfandel displays subtle aromas of blackberry, Santa Rosa plums and notes of anise. Vivid flavors of mulberry and strawberry intertwine with hints of licorice. With medium tannin and firm structure this wine offers a lovely evolution in glass.

this wine is red-purple in color with a bright hue. Aromas of black currant, plum and black cherry are lifted by a bouquet of vanilla, toasted pastry and spice from a year of barrel aging. The palate is bursting with primary fruit and a broad, rich tannin structure.

This wine is primarily Sangiovese blended with Malbec. Grapes were hand-harvested, and upon entering the winery, hand-sorted and then gravity fed directly into tanks for five days of cold soaking. The wines were fermented on the skins for about 10 days until pressing, then individual lots were moved to barrels for malolactic fermentation. After fermentation was complete, the wines were blended and aged in new Hungarian puncheons and older French oak barrels in wine caves until bottling.

Appearance: Deep ruby red intensity with crimson accents

Aroma: Complex and layered with black plum and currants, vanilla, sage, and peppercorn, and sweet notes of toasty oak.

Flavors: Round, full-bodied palate with vibrant dark cherry fruit, sweet herbs and silky mouthfeel. Very supple and elegant, the finely knit tannins highlight bold fruit and sweet tobacco notes, giving a velvety finish.
